To prepare for this battle, Pippa will have to use everything she’s got-especially that wild imagination. But when the baddies keep coming, she realizes she’ll need to come up with something new. Pippa tries everything: from night lights to triple knots to clever disguises. That’s when the villains and monsters and beasts sneak out of her storybooks to scare her. They’re there, but ultimately, Pippa comes up with the solution by herself. Her parents are the background characters in this story. It’s important to know that Pippa solves the problem of her imaginary monsters on her own. Pippa’s creative solution to her problem will also inspire children to face their fears in new ways. Kids will identify with the way Pippa’s imagination twists something good (stories) into something scary (monsters). I loved how the monsters and villains come from Pippa’s storybooks-books that she enjoys reading while the lights are all on. Every kid deals with a runaway imagination at some point, and this adorable bedtime book addresses it perfectly. It’s not until Pippa harnesses her imagination with creativity that she is able to conquer her fears and get a good night’s sleep. Pippa tries everything she can think of to banish the bad guys back to the stories they come from, but it’s no use.
